A NUMBER of arrests have been made after a 15-year-old girl was accused of a double stabbing in Hendon.

The schoolgirl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested after police received reports of an alleged incident at a house in Hendon earlier this month, where a teenage girl and a woman were injured.

The 15-year-old has since been granted bail by Sunderland Magistrates’ Court.

Now, a 35-year-old woman and 16-year-old girl have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

A 29-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and a 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of common assault. All have been bailed.
