Firefighters tackle second blaze in 24 hours at Houghton factory

Firefighters from Farrington, Rainton Bridge and Washington, are on the scene of a fire at TKT Cosyfoam in Lambton Lane.

Crews were called at 3.38pm and are using two breathing apparatus and a hose reel to put out the flames.

This is the second time in two days that firefighters have been called to the factory.

Over 20 firefighters tackle factory blazeOn Sunday more than 20 firefighters attended a large rubbish fire inside the factory.

Crews were called at 5.10pm and managed to extinguish the blaze.
