A HOME-OWNER needed to be given oxygen after a fire broke out at her Sunderland home.
Fire crews from Farringdon and Rainton Bridge stations were called to Lime Avenue in Houghton at 9.40pm on Wednesday.
The blaze had started in the oven, with smoke spreading to the walls of the two-storey home.
The occupant managed to get out of the property and waited for firefighters to arrive at the scene.
No one else was hurt in the incident.
