Fire crew lead dog to safety after Sunderland blaze

Firiefighters led a dog to safety after a fire in Sunderland last night.

The rear windows of two houses were damaged after fire broke out in an outhouse.

A crew from North Moor fire station was called to Pennycross Road, Pennywell, shortly before 10pm, to a fire in the outhouse and an adjoining shed.

The shed and its contents, as well as the door of the outhouse, were damaged, .

The rear window of the house, and the property next door, along with guttering and a section of fence, were also damaged.

No-one was hurt and everyone in the house was able to escape.
