A new town centre fashion chain has chosen Sunderland as one of its first locations.

PEP&CO is recruiting for 12 new jobs for its store in The Bridges, including store manager and sales associate positions.

The new branch is part of ambitious plans to create more than 500 good jobs across England, Wales and Scotland by the end of August.

The chain, established by former Asda CEO Andy Bond, will open 50 stores across England, Scotland and Wales in the coming months.

“Over the past few years, we Brits have been falling back in love with our high streets by shopping in smaller locations at stores offering real value,” said Andy Bond.

“My ambition is that PEP&CO will be the first true town centre fashion value store in Sunderland, able to build on the example of new value food and general merchandise retailers.”

PEP&CO’s managing director Adrian Mountford added: “I’m excited to be bringing PEP&CO to Sunderland.

“And because we’ll be offering amazing value on family fashion, I know we’ll play our part in helping the town centre thrive.”
