To ensure we remain at the forefront of technology and techniques the company is committed to supporting skills development for all staff

James Alderson, marketing manager at Harry Burnicle Electrical and Mechanical Contractors

Marketing manager James Alderson said the firm has “always been keen to support and grow the local community and we work alongside other businesses in the area to offer a solid support network for residents.”

The company was formed in 1981 by Harry Burnicle before he handed over to his two sons David and Christopher in 2011. They were joined by younger brother Mark in 2013.

James added: “Since David and Christopher took over, the sales have grown fivefold and have doubled in the past year.”

The company has added mechanical, plumbing and air conditioning services to its portfolio and created jobs.

James said the firm was “committed to supporting skills development for all staff. Individuals are given time off work for external training courses and the company provides financial assistance for exams.”

The firm works with local businesses and schools “to ensure they have the best facilities to offer their employees and students.”

James said that, in the past 12 months the company’s turnover has doubled and stood at £1million.
