ADRENALINE fans have a second chance to be a part of the WearSlide event.

Organisers have added an extra date after high demand for spots on the 300ft waterslide.

Tickets for the chute sold out within 90 minutes of going on sale last month.

Now organiser Sunderland Live has announced it will stage the interactive attraction for a second day exclusively for groups and charities on Sunday, April 26, 2015.

Chris Alexander, Sunderland Live’s chief operating officer, said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the response from the public. With the 100 metre slide selling out in 90 minutes there is clearly a real demand and interest for events of this nature in Sunderland.

“Whether it’s to raise funds for a good cause or to get together with friends to do something different, WearSlide is set to offer a great, adrenaline-fuelled experience.

“Making this a WearSlide weekend will give those who missed out when tickets first went on sale the chance to be a part of something fantastically unique.”

On April 26 the 100 metre WearSlide Plus at Herrington Country Park will be available for registered charities wishing to book 15, 30 or 60 places.

Organised groups of 10 or more can book onto for the 50 metre WearSlide for £100 when tickets go on sale this Monday, 8 December at 10am at www.sunderlandlive.co.uk

The much-anticipated attraction is expected to pack Herrington Country Park with crowds of spectators and participants when it makes its debut in the region on April 25.
