Entries are now being invited for the inaugural North East Employee of the Year Awards.

Employees, alongside managers, directors and board members are encouraged to nominate colleagues who deserve acknowledgment.

The event has been created by North East event management company, She’s Gott It!

The awards are being supported by Tesco Underwriting. Additional sponsors include Sunderland College and George F. White.

She’s Gott it! Managing Director Nickie Gott said: “A company’s success relies on its performance – the staff are the face of the business. Now is the time to celebrate their talent and recognise and reward their loyalty. Through these awards businesses can provide incentives to attend and be part of one of the North East’s biggest celebrations of the year.”

Entries are open now and application forms can be downloaded from the website.

The ceremony will take place on Friday, June 17, in the Grand Marquee at Wynyard Hall Hotel, Tees Valley. Tickets are also available from the website.

The 11 award categories are: Young Employee, Best Apprentice, Making a Difference in the Community, Leadership Award, PA of the Year, Unsung Hero, Best Practice in the Workplace, Outstanding Service, Team of the Year, Long Service Award, North East Employee of the Year (chosen from the winners of each category).

Entries close at noon on Friday, May 6.
