A HIGH-FIVE from a woolly visitor put a smile on the faces of schoolchildren when he paid them a visit.

Animation favourite Shaun the Sheep went along to spend the afternoon with youngsters at St Benet’s RC School in Fulwell, Sunderland.

BBC character Shaun made the special visit ahead of his upcoming show at the Sunderland Empire later this month.

After meeting the pupils, Shaun joined in story time and encouraged them to go along to the theatre show for his fully choreographed, family music and dance extravaganza, Shaun’s Big Show.

Shaun will be joined by other favourite characters from the hit BBC show including Bitzer, Shirley and Timmy in the stage treat for young audiences.

It runs at the Empire from June 22 to 26. Tickets start from £11.50 and are available by contacting the 24hr box office on 0844 871 3022 or book online at www.SunderlandEmpire.org.uk
