Children at a Sunderland primary school took part in a global literacy initiative.
Youngsters at St Leonard’s RC Primary School took part in the Pobble project.
Pobble’s mission is to create a more literate world by providing children with a global audience for their work.
By showcasing school work on a worldwide classroom wall, Pobble is boosting imaginations and giving children a real purpose to write and be creative.
Pobble is already being used in more than 100 countries and has been endorsed by celebrated by children’s authors like Anthony Horowitz and Michael Morpurgo.
Ruth Scothern, Year 2 Teacher at St Leonard’s, said: “This was an engaging session that allowed children to use their minds creatively. There were many interesting strategies and activities used that can be implemented within the classroom.”
