HUNTING high and low, a group of Sunderland pupils got in the spring spirit as they searched for Easter eggs.
Pupils at Hylton Castle Primary School have been taking part in an Easter egg hunt put on by mums and dads who have formed Power Parents, which aims to carry out fund-raising for the school through a variety of events.
Marie Brown, of Power Parents, said: “Every afternoon this week we are holding an Easter egg hunt for children at the school.
“We have been given donations from local businesses so that every child gets something and no one goes without.”
Every afternoon this week, pupils at the school will be given the chance to search the school grounds for hidden Easter eggs.
Marie, whose children Jamie Armstrong, eight, and Matthew Armstrong, five, go to the school, added: “A few weeks ago, some parents decided to form a group so that we can fund-raise.
“We want to try and make money so pupils can go on various school trips.
“This was one of the first events we’ve held, and it’s going really well so far.”
