HOLY costume party, Batman! Mini superheroes stepped out to help other children.

Seaham Harbour Nursery pupils did a fancy dress sponsored walk in aid of Barnardo’s.

Jennifer Findlay, assistant headteacher at the school, said: “It was a long walk for little legs and we didn’t let the rain stop us.”

Around £150 was raised through collections during the walks, with sponsorship money now being gathered in.

The events were supported by the children’s families and Police Community Support Officer Carole Hutton, who joined in the route to help ensure it passed off safely.
