THIS young pupil enjoyed a wheelie good afternoon learning about sport.

Staff and students at Bernard Gilpin Primary School got stuck into lots of different activities during their annual sports week.

Visitors went along to the Hall Lane school to introduce the young people to their hobby, including a team of stunt bike riders.

During the week the children also had the chance to experience horse-riding, skiing, cricket, judo, cheerleading and a host of other things.

Lynsey Johnson, a reception teacher at the Houghton school, said: “We decided to get as many different people in as possible and give the children a chance to participate in lots of things.”
