PUPILS dug deep to celebrate the silver anniversary of their school.

The youngsters at Fulwell Infant School held a tree-planting day to mark 25 years of the Ebdon Lane school.

The silver birch saplings were provided by Barclays and the children had fun learning all about trees as part of the planting project.

Sheila Henley, science co-ordinator at the school, said they are also planning a number of other events to celebrate the anniversary, including a coffee morning for past and present pupils and a dance festival.
