BEAMING with smiles, children at a Wearside school enjoyed a fun day to raise cash for new computer equipment.
The pupils at Farringdon Primary School took part in activities, including arts and crafts.
Lisa Lavelle, early years foundation stage leader at the Archer Road school, said the younger children decided they wanted to raise money to have their own equipment.
She said: “We have had a new ICT suite installed for the whole school to use, with all the latest things such as touch screens.
“The younger children love going along to it, but asked if they could have some similar equipment in the reception class.”
She said they organised the fun day and invited parents along and they have also incorporated the project of raising money into the curriculum with the children looking at things like how much the items will cost.
