CHILDREN at a city school have their fingers on the button thanks to a new computer suite.
Sunderland MP Bridget Phillipson went along to Mill Hill Primary School, at Doxford Park, to officially open the new ICT facilities.
The Saint Court school has invested in 17 new computers to help meet the requirements of the new curriculum for ICT in schools. Youngsters of all ages in the school will benefit from the new equipment.
Ms Phillipson said: “ICT is part of our everyday lives and it is important that today’s children are taught from an early age how to use it confidently.”
Dean Marshall, headteacher at Mill Hill Primary, said: “We feel that the new computer suite will enhance our provision and allow us to continue to provide pupils with the best possible start.”
