YOUNGSTERS can pick up some soccer skills in half term with footballing sessions.
The Foundation of Light, the charity arm of Sunderland AFC, will be hosting a variety of soccer camps and one off sessions in Sunderland, South Tyneside and County Durham next week, for aspiring footballers aged three to 14 years old.
This includes three-day courses, which will be held simultaneously at the Goals Soccer Centre, Sunderland and Pelton Primary School, Chester-le-Street, between Monday, February 17 and Wednesday, February 19.
A separate two-day course will also be held at Mortimer Community College, South Shields and at Belmont Community Arts College, Durham, from Thursday, February 20.
There will also be some girls only options available at Mortimer Community College and Castle View Enterprise Academy in Sunderland.
For young football fans aged three to five, the charity will be hosting a variety of Little Dribblers activities, including fun football sessions at the Stadium of Light on Tuesday and Thursday, February 18 and 20, as well as extended sessions, including coaching, a classroom activity and a mini stadium tour on Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
Multi-sport coaching days will be on held on Monday and Tuesday, February 17 and 18, at Castle View Enterprise Academy, designed for young people and adults with physical and learning disabilities.
Sessions, all led by professionally qualified SAFC coaches, start from £15 for the Soccer Camps, £3 for Little Dribblers and £10 for the Multi-sport coaching days.
