Doors open for a look at college life

THE Sixth Form Centre at New College Durham is opening its doors on Saturday to give prospective students and their parents a taste of college life.

The open day will showcase the centre to students who are considering studying A Levels in September.

They will be able to tour the facilities, speak to tutors and join in taster sessions for different A Level subjects.

Jon Ridley, Head of Sixth Form, said: “At New College Durham Sixth Form we are very proud of our staff and students.

“We have an excellent, supportive learning environment equipped to make sure that our students achieve and succeed in their chosen field.

“We look forward to welcoming those young people who are considering A Level study to the Open Day.”

The Sixth Form Centre, which offers a choice of 23 different A Level subjects, will be open from 10am to 12.30pm.
