A COLLEGE course is aiming to tackle unemployment in Sunderland.

Sunderland College is launching a free pre-employment course, which runs over six weeks with classes two days a week.

The course covers a variety of themes, including production and manufacturing, retail, basic IT, business administration and care.

It also covers CV writing, tips for job interviews and help with filling out application forms.

Travel costs, childcare costs and lunch are included.

Paul Stafford, of the college, said: “If you are currently out of work and looking for new opportunities, then look no further.”

Courses start mid-November and run from Doxford and Bede centre.
