College to host open day

A DURHAM college will be opening its doors to would-be students.

East Durham College is holding an open evening at its Peterlee Campus on Tuesday, January 28, between 4.30pm and 7pm.

The event is aimed at Year 11 pupils and other young people who are not in work or training.

They can go along and find out about the courses and other training options available.

The college has a wide range of full-time courses starting in September, as well as numerous apprenticeships and short courses designed to help young people get into work and training.

Visitors can also find out about A-levels at East Durham Sixth Form, ED6, courses at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy, at the specialist construction centre, The Technical Academy, and land based and animal care courses at Houghall Campus in Durham City.

For further details, call student services on 518 8222, or visit eastdurham.ac.uk.
