NEW College Durham will hold an open evening for prospective students.

The event, on Wednesday, May 1, will enable people to find out more about its higher education and professional qualifications.

The range of more than 50 programmes available includes Higher National Diplomas, foundation degrees, bachelor degrees and professional level qualifications, all with flexible learning options.

Assistant principal Mo Dixon said: “We will be able to offer support on funding and finance options, and give prospective students a real feel for what it is like studying at New College Durham, as well as an opportunity to talk to academic staff who lead on our higher education programmes.”

Subjects available at a higher education level include computing, sport, construction, nursing, travel and business.

The event, at the Framwellgate Moor site, starts at 5.30pm.
