A DURHAM college invited businesses inside to celebrate partnership working.
New College Durham, a founder of Durham Business Club, opened its doors to the members of the club for a networking evening.
The visitors were given a look around the college’s facilities at the Framwellgate Moor Campus, and spoke to the students about their courses and the value of work placement projects to their learning experience.
Mark Anderson, assistant principal for curriculum and employer engagement, said: “New College Durham has strong working relationships with local business and industry in the region.
“The event celebrated this success and extended our welcome to new businesses in the area.
“We work with regional employers to gain invaluable work experience placements and apprenticeships as well as offering funded training solutions for their current employees. We were delighted to be able to celebrate these achievements with the members of Durham Business Club.”
Guests were given the opportunity to sample the students’ work with free beauty treatments from the Halo Hair & Beauty Salon and a buffet dinner from the Le Nouveau restaurant, both open to members of the public.
