Club tour to reward dedicated pupils

Have your say

THE search is on to find the most dedicated pupils.

Durham County Council is trying to track down teenagers in their final year of secondary school and children in their last year of primary school who have a 100 per cent attendance record.

Youngsters who have never missed even half a day during their whole secondary or primary school career will be invited to a special celebration event.

The evening, at Durham County Cricket Club, will include a tour of the club, awards presentation, photographs and a buffet.

Families who think a child may have 100 per cent attendance should contact the child’s school.

To be eligible, the attendance must continue to be 100 per cent until the pupil’s official leaving date. The council is also contacting schools directly in order to identify eligible pupils.

The authority can be called on 03000 260 000.
