ANYONE planning to look for temporary Christmas work can to join a free retail course to boost their chances.

Sunderland College will be running the a six-week retail course next month, designed to develop the skills of those who want to find work in a retail role.

The college will also be running courses in the new academic year for people wanting to work in hospitality and for those looking to be employed in the contact centre industry.

Paul Stafford, employer liaison manager for Sunderland College, said: “Learners don’t just achieve a qualification, we want them to succeed in their career goals.

“This is why our pre-employment team members are all industry professionals who can pass on their many years of experience.”

Lunch and help with travel or childcare costs are also available.

Once courses have been completed learners can also do a work place first aid and a food hygiene course.
