A NEW nursery has opened its doors to a fresh wave of tiny faces.

The Little Bears Crèche opened its doors this month and is already off to a promising start.

“We have eight children in at the moment, but 15 children on the books,” said manager Jemma Gustard.

Though the new crèche is open to children aged three months to five years old, it is especially popular among parents of two-year-olds.

To accommodate the demand, the nursery offers two-hour sessions for the toddlers on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

With fellow manager Angela Montgomery’s help, Jemma decided to breathe new life into an old crèche by opening a new one.

“The old crèche had been left standing for many years, so me and my partner decided to re-open it,” she said.

The two co-owners use the 15 years’ experience between them to run their new business.

While the parents are away, children get to participate in a variety of fun activities.

Jemma said: “We have indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts, and board games.”

In addition to their own garden, the crèche allows little bears to participate in singalongs, and role play.

The Little Bears Crèche is in The Hetton Centre.
