BIG-HEARTED Rob McGlynn has let his fund-raising ideas go to his head.

Twenty-nine-year -old Rob, who works in EDF Energy’s customers services section at Doxford International, has had the breast cancer pink ribbon shaved into his head.

“I wanted to do something for charity,” he said.

“I just thought ‘What’s the daftest thing I can do?’, so I decided to have the breast cancer ribbon shaved into my head – and have it dyed pink.”

Rob, from Ryhope, has set up a web page to collect donations online and is hoping his hair-raising stunt will net him a tidy sum.

“I am hoping to get £500,” he said.

“I have got about £330 at the moment, so I am getting relatively close. I would really like to thank Jamie, at Faffs Hair and Beauty, on Chester Road for doing my hair for free.”
