DURHAM Cathedral is holding a symposium as part of Prisons Week.

The national event is a time when Christian Communities encourage prayer for, and raise awareness of, the needs of prisoners, and their families, victims of offenders, prisons, staff and all those who care.

The symposium is called Drugs, Crime and Addiction, and takes place on Saturday, from 9.30am to 1pm in Prior’s Hall.

It will be chaired by the Very Reverend Michael Sadgrove, Dean of Durham, and promises stimulating discussion and debate.

To reserve a place email events@durhamcathedral.co.uk. To cover expenses donations are invited on the day.
