Police have released CCTV images of two men they would like to trace in relation to an incident on board a train between Durham and Darlington.
Officers are hoping to identify the pair who were part of a group of eight men, who boarded the 4pm Edinburgh to Peterborough service at Durham at around 5.30pm on Saturday, October 31.
The group is said to have begun shouting, swearing and acting disorderly, before one of the group picked up a passenger’s case and threw it across the train.
When the group left the train at Darlington, one of them punched a station display screen causing more than £1,200 of damage.
Pc Amanda Timlin said: “We also had a report from a woman on the train that one of the group made sexually suggestive comments to her, then touched her inappropriately.
“We have undertaken a number of enquiries already as part of this investigation in an attempt to trace the people involved but are now appealing for members of the public’s help.
“We would also like to hear you if you were on the train and witnessed the incident, or if you know anyone who associates with the two men pictured.”
