TWO men have been questioned by detectives in connection with a double arson attack on a house and car.
The 36-year-old and 38-year-old, both from Sunderland, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson.
They have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
An investigation was launched after an Audi A5, parked on the driveway of the house in St Helen’s Drive, Dawdon, Seaham, was set alight on Friday, December 23.
The following day, the front door of the property was set ablaze.
Detectives said accelerant was used on both occasions, with only minor damage caused.
Police can be contacted on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
