A life-saving defibrillator is out of use after a vandal attack at a Sunderland restaurant.

Police are appealing for information after the case of the defibrillator, in the McDonald's branch in High Street West, was damaged on Saturday, March 25.

The defibrillator is out of use as a result of the damage.

Police are keen to trace a man who was in the store at the time.

He is described as white, with dark hair, and was wearing a red zip up top with a grey hood and black trousers.
