DAREDEVIL Martin Hooper is taking charity fund-raising to new heights.

The 32-year-old engineer, from Lambton, Washington, was today tackling four stomach-turning drops to raise money for cancer charity MacMillan.

In just two hours, Martin will take on a 250ft zipwire, free abseil of 150ft, then another 150ft leap supported only by a single cable, before a bungee jump, again from 150ft.

Amazingly, it won’t be the first time he has tackled the so-called Awesome Foursome.

“I thought it was time to do something, so I decided I’ll just do what I’ve done before again,” he said.

“I’ve paid for it out of my own pocket so all the profits from sponsorships are going straight to Macmillan.

The former steelworks in Sheffield where the jumps take place, is lit only by flashing lights while a smoke machine adds to the atmosphere.
