SHOULD police cuts be scrapped in light of England’s riots?
POLICE resources remain stretched across England as forces take special measures to protect communities.
Riots in several towns and cities - notably in London, the Midlands and Manchester – have seen unprecedented numbers of police rallied into action.
And all of this has been happening against a backdrop of forces up and down the country having to slash millions of pounds from their budgets due to Government cuts.
The Government insists the cuts are intended to reduce bureaucratic waste and not risk frontline police men and women losing their jobs.
But should the Coalition act now to ease public concern and scrap police cuts?
