A WOMAN who was arrested after a man was found with head injuries at a Wearside home has been released without charge.
The 29-year-old was arrested at 7.25am on Saturday morning after police were called to Broadmayne Avenue in High Barnes, Sunderland.
There has been reports of a disturbance inside the home and officers were sent to the scene.
A man in his 30s was found inside with head injuries and was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital for treatment.
Police said the injuries were not life-threatening and he has since been released.
The woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault, but after being quizzed by officers has now been released.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police say she will face no further action.
