A WOMAN was hit in the face with a glass during an assault in a Sunderland bar.

The 21-year-old suffered an injury to her face after being punched and then hit by a glass which had been thrown.

The assault happened on Saturday. February 28 at 12.20am inside Lola’s Bar in Vine Place, Sunderland.

The woman, who needed medical treatment, had earlier been involved in an argument with another woman.
