POLICE are hunting a man after a woman was assaulted on the Metro.
The victim, from Sunderland, was travelling alone when a group of men – thought to be drunk – boarded the train at East Boldon.
They were acting aggressively and one of them leaned over to the 48-year-old woman and pulled her hair.
The attack happened on Friday, December 28, at about 7.55pm, but details have only now been revealed. Officers have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the assault.
Pc Mark Bradwell said: “The victim, feeling extremely unnerved and intimated, left the train at Millfield.”
