Vietnamese man in court over Sunderland cannabis farm
A SUSPECTED cannabis farmer has appeared in court after more than 400 plants were found at a house.
The 40-year-old Vietnamese national was charged with production of the class B drug after the cannabis farm was discovered on Friday.
Vo Minh Thans, of no fixed address, appeared before magistrates yesterday to deny the charge.
The cannabis plants were found in Otto Terrace, Thornhill.
No application for bail was made. District Judge Steve Earl remanded Thans in custody until Monday.
A 43-year-old man, who was also arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled drug, has been released on police bail.
