VIDEO: Police renew appeal over missing Sunderland man Carl Rowe

POLICE searching for Sunderland man Carl Rowe are making a fresh appeal for witnesses more than a week after he went missing.

Mr Rowe, 42, of Eglington Street North, in Roker, was last seen by family members around 6.45pm, on Sunday night, March 30. He was reported missing by relatives on Monday afternoon, March 31.

CCTV showed him withdrawing cash at Newcastle Road in Sunderland on Monday morning, March 31. And on Wednesday, April 2, he was sighted in North Berwick, in Scotland, and he is still believed to have been in that area as recently as Friday.

He also has possible links with the Berwick area of Northumberland, and Paisley in Scotland.

When spotted in North Berwick he was wearing navy coloured Adidas tracksuit bottoms with three stripes down the legs, and a navy waterproof jacket with a distinctive bright blue colour in the inner hood.

Mr Rowe is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, with short dark brown hair, spiked up, and wearing glasses.

Police are concerned for Mr Rowe’s welfare and are appealing for the public’s help to trace him.

DS Les Goodliff, Sunderland Area Command, said: “We’re continuing in our efforts to trace Mr Rowe and ensure he is safe and well. Anyone who sees him or has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact police as soon as possible.”
