THUGS attacked a car when disorder broke out between far-right groups and anti-fascists.
Police said £200 worth of damage was caused when the car was kicked and abuse was shouted at the driver on St Mark’s Road, Millfield, on Saturday at 2.15pm.
Detective Inspector Andy Fairlamb said: “This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated and we’re carrying out enquiries to trace those responsible.”
About 200 people were at the protest, which erupted into disorder.
A total of 13 people were arrested after rocks, fireworks and glass bottles were thrown.
Two men, aged 32, have been charged with being drunk and disorderly.
Eight men arrested on suspicion of public order offences and another three questioned in relation to affray have been bailed.
