TWO people have been arrested by police searching for the missing Matloch brothers from Sunderland.
A man, aged 34, and a 39-year-old woman, were seized at an address in Birmingham at approximately 11pm on Wednesday, August 13.
They have both been arrested in connection with the boys’ disappearance and are in custody in the West Midlands, where Northumbria Police have sent detectives to question them.
The investigation into the whereabouts of Remus, 15, Janko, 12, and David, 10, who have not yet been found, is continuing.
Enquiries are continuing today in both Birmingham and in London.
Superintendent Alan Veitch, of Sunderland Area Command, said: “This is a fast moving enquiry and we are liaising with forces around the country and making active enquiries in both Birmingham and London.”
