Two arrested after stabbing in Washington

TWO men have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Washington.

The incident happened in Cherwell, Sulgrave, Washington, between 5pm and 5.30pm, on Wednesday, September 3.

The 23-year-old victim was stabbed in the arm before the offenders made off from the scene in a vehicle.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and released after treatment.

As a result of enquiries, the vehicle has been recovered and two men, aged 40 and 28, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. Both have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Police are carrying out enquiries in the area and additional officers are on patrol to reassure the community.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or who may have seen a white Ford Sierra in the area around the time of it are being asked to come forward.
