Tributes laid outside home of baby Reggie, who was killed by a dog in Sunderland

The fence outside the Ford Estate home of tragic Reggie Young is lined with tributes.

The three-week-old died on hospital in the early hours of Saturday after being bitten by a dog at the house in Falkland Road.

Cards, toys and flowers have ben laid outside.

One toy elephant bears the words: “Reggie, my little mate. I will miss you. TJ, Rachel, Chloe and Denise.”

TJ is the six-week-old grandson of neighbour Denise Haley, who lives just a couple of doors down from the family.

Another card reads: “Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this tragic time.

One card is addressed to Reggie’s parents and siblings: “To Marie, Ryan, Kids, so sorry for your loss. May the angels keep him safe. Love and hugs, Kayleigh, Peter, Holly, Summer, Nicole.”

And another reads simply: “So sad, thinking of you. Clare and Gordon.”
