Three men remanded in custody over death of Sunderland dad David Walsh

Three men have been remanded in custody after being charged with the murder of Sunderland man David Robert Walsh.

The 45-year-old, of Fuller Road, Hendon, died after an incident in Canon Cockin Street on Friday night.

Seven people were arrested in connection with the death of Mr Walsh, and three have now been charged with his murder.

Dalton James Bennett, 19, of Fuller Road, Charles Maguire Lamont, 40, of Villette Road and Raymond Brown, 36, of Canon Cockin Street, appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

In relation to the other four people arrested, three have been released on bail pending further enquiries and one person has been released with no further action.
