And between 9.50am and 1.50pm, the same day, a house in Summerhill was targeted and a silver and blue Omega Seamaster diver’s watch was stolen.

The third burglary happened between 9pm Saturday, and 7am Sunday, March 22, when a house in Berryfield Close was broken into and a set of car keys taken.

The thieves then stole a silver Nissan XTrail, registration number NU06WGG, parked outside the property.

Neighbourhood Inspector Lisa Laverick said: “We have officers carrying out highly visible patrols in the East Herrington area and speaking to local residents about these burglaries.

“We are passing on crime prevention advice around locking windows and doors as we think the burglaries may have targeted homes with open windows and doors.

“Please help us and protect your property by making sure doors and windows are kept locked and shut at all times, but especially when out of the house.”

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area, who witnessed anything suspicious, or anyone with information as to the whereabouts of the stolen car to contact them on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference number 397 of 22/03/15.
