POLICE have arrested three women and seized suspected stolen property after a house search in West Rainton.
At 8.25am on Wednesday, March 26, officers carried out a search warrant at an address in The Crescent. They seized a large amount of children’s clothing, handbags, purses and alcohol - all believed to have been stolen.

The activity comes during Northumbria Police’s Operation Soundwave, aimed at tackling those involved in theft and burglary across the force.
Part of the campaign includes taking action against those suspected of being involved in the receiving and handling of stolen property, which fuels the activities of those who bring misery on communities.
