A TEENAGER called emergency services – after being told off for not following house rules.
The 14-year-old boy made the 999 call to Durham Police but, instead of receiving sympathy, he was spoken to in strong terms about not wasting police time.
Durham Police force tweeted about the call on Sunday, writing: “Durham Police’s special constabulary spoke to the 14-year-old boy after he dialled the emergency services number unhappy about being chastised by his mother.
“Suitable words of advice were given and the boy now knows the correct use of the 999 facility.
“He also knows to behave for his parents!”
