Two teenagers charged with the murder of County Durham dad Mark Shaw have appeared in court together for the first time.

Zoe Warren and Kieran Adey both appeared via video links to Newcastle Crown Court this afternoon.

Warren, 19, of Hexham, Washington, and Adey, 18, of Queen Street, Grange Villa, County Durham, are both accused of murdering the 29-year-old.

Warren made her first crown court appearance after being charged with his murder last week.

Adey has already appeared at the court but neither have yet entered pleas.

His provisional trial date, which was fixed at a previous hearing, has now been changed from June 19 to October 3.

The Recorder of Newcastle, Judge Paul Sloan QC, told them that their case will be heard again on April 6.

He remanded them in custody until that date.

Mr Shaw, known as 'Sharky ', was found dead at his home in Pine Street, Grange Villa, in December.
