Teenagers in court over Nissan worker murder
TWO teenagers accused of murdering a Nissan worker have appeared at crown court.
Keith Honeyman, 19, and a 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are accused of killing David Charlton on December 21.
Mr Charlton, 25, who lived in South Shields, had been walking home from The Last Orders pub at Tyne Dock with his girlfriend when he was stabbed to death.
Honeyman, of Alice Street, South Shields, appeared via videolink to HMP Durham yesterday.
His co-accused appeared via videollink to a secure accommodation unit.
Both spoke only to confirm their names and were not asked to enter a plea to the murder charge they both face.
The pair will be back in court on March 15 for a plea and directions hearing.
