A TEENAGER arrested after two men were stabbed has been released on bail.
Police received a call for help from a 47-year-old man who said he and a friend had been stabbed during an attack in Hendon.
He claimed he and his 51-year-old friend had been attacked.
They were both taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital.
The first victim suffered a stab wound to his leg and has now been discharged.
The other remains in hospital with injuries to his chest, but police said his condition was not life-threatening.
Police arrested a 17-year-old on suspicion of assault. He has now been bailed until September 20.
The attack happened on Monday just before 11pm.
