Suspected arson attack damages two cars in Sunderland

TWO cars were damaged after a suspected arson attack.

Fire crews attended the incident in Swan Court, in the Hylton Castle area of Sunderland, at around 2am on Wednesday.

Crew manager Neil Harrison, of Sunderland Central fire station, said the blaze involving a BMW car spread to a Nissan Note.

The BMW was destroyed and the Nissan suffered fire and heat damage to one side.

Crew manager Harrison said: “It is suspected the cause is malicious and the police will be investigating.”
Two fire engines from Sunderland Central station dealt with the incident.
