A MAN needed hospital treatment after being stabbed in the face.
The 33-year-old man was found by police in Princess Street, Shiney Row, at 1.17am this morning.
He was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital, where medics treated him for a suspected stab wound to the face.
Police are now carrying out door-to-door inquiries in the area.
